Leeds Councillor, Mothin Ali could be investigated by the Green Party for shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’, moments after he was elected.

He continued by saying: “This is a win for the people of Gaza”, whilst his supporters unfurled a Palestinian flag behind him.

Conservative Peer, Lord Stewart Jackson, explains he is quite disappointed by the Green Party, “as they are, by and large, sincere people trying to do their best at local level.”

Dr David Bull questioned what Palestine had to do with local elections, to which Lord Jackson responded, saying "the Green Party are normalising people who should not be normalised.”
