Toyota Fortuner 2.5 G 2007 adalah satu-satunya mobil SUV terjangkau pada masanya yang menggunakan mesin turbo diesel, dalam hal ini D-4D 2500 cc 4 cylinder yang juga dipakai di mobil adiknya yaitu Toyota Kijang Innova Diesel. Toyota Fortuner keluaran pertama ini memiliki konfigurasi kursi 3 baris dan mampu membawa 7 orang penumpang (7-seater) disertai barang dengan cukup lega.

A Driving POV Video using the 2007 Toyota Fortuner G 2.5 M/T Turbo Diesel (same as Toyota Fortuner G 2.5 M/T 2005 - 2008 Model Year) with 5-Speed Manual Transmission and Rear wheel drive (5-M/T RWD) and a Ladderframe Chassis. A more conventional configuration approach a little different to current SUV products such as the new Honda CRV and BRV, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, Suzuki New XL7, Wuling Almaz, and the Hyundai Palisade with Front Wheel Drive. This is the first iteration of the 7 Seater Middle SUV segment of Toyota Fortuner Diesel line up that uses the D-4D 2.5 liter 4 Cylinder Turbo Diesel engine shared with it's sister The Toyota Kijang Innova Diesel, and comes with 3 rows of seats capable of carrying 7 passengers + luggage comfortably. We are going to test this first model Toyota Fortuner 2.5 G M/T SUV on city roads as well as toll roads / highways surrounding Karawaci, South Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia at sunset going towards Jakarta - Tangerang highway.
