From the flightdeck: RNAV-Z approach Innsbruck (LOWI)

Описание к видео From the flightdeck: RNAV-Z approach Innsbruck (LOWI)

RNP-Z approach to runway 26 at Innsbruck, Austria. Innsbruck is a challenging airport located at the heart of the Alps. Especially the engine-out procedures are very important here, but also the normal approaches require much more considerations than approaches at other airfields. Terrain (mountains) is off course a constant factor, but also the weather (snow, icing), cold temperatures (requires altitude corrections), climb performance and the short runway (1940 meters) are factors that need to be considered.

This was our second flight of the day. In the morning the weather was marginal, on this flight it was better.

It's a privilege to fly to Innsbruck. You need all the knowledge and skills you've got, but that makes it so much more rewarding. And the views! Just spectacular.

The video does not show the complete approach, some 'boring' parts where nothing happened have been cut out.
