The Ghost Bat is Stretching its Wings

Northern ghost bat (Diclidurus albus) from Carara National Park, Costa Rica.

This completly white bat is relatively rare nd hanging from a palm leaf, opening its mouth and stretching its wings.

One of the only 2 known white bats in the world. It shouldn't be confused with the Honduran white bat (Ectophylla alba) which has a bright yellow ears, nose-leaf and lips.

It is insectivore and feeds primarily on moths.
