exploring Colaba causeway in Mumbai - night markets and Gateway of India

We travelled to Mumbai last November and got an amazing chance to stay at one of India's oldest, finest and most famous luxury hotels, Taj Mahal Mumbai, which is located at a prime location in the posh, historical Colaba in old (South) Mumbai, right next to the Gateway of India, the Arabian Sea and a huge selection of things to see, do and eat, especially on the famous shopping street Colaba Causeway. Exploring everything the city of Mumbai has to offer proved to be too tricky for us with a toddler and the crazy Mumbai traffic, so we were very happy to stay close to our hotel in Colaba and marvel all the beautiful, old houses, famous landmarks, high-end stores interesting little shops, cafes and hole in the wall eateries.
