SCHOOL STUDENT REPORTEDLY RAPED MULTIPLE TIMES IN PEREN

A school student in Peren was reportedly raped multiple times, allegedly by close relative, according to Peren SP. The incident came to light when Peren Women PS Jalukie received a rape complaint on May 1. A FIR was lodged and the case registered at Women PS Jalukie. Although police visited the accused's residence, they couldn't trace him initially. However, the accused was later arrested from Zunheboto on May 2 with the help of local intelligence and tech surveillance. Authorities have stated that the investigation is underway to ascertain facts and gather evidence.
