Oregon | Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail SoBo | PCT 2023 // After saying goodbye to my students at Timberline Lodge, my solo SoBo PCT hike for this year would officially begin.

In this video, I’ll bring you along with me as I stop in places like Bend (thank you Dan and Stacy for hosting me for my first proper zero out on trail!), Shelter Cove, Crater Lake National Park and then finish up the Oregon section of my hike in Ashland at Callahan’s Lodge.

I got to hike through quite a few burn zones, but was overwhelmed with the beauty of Jefferson Park, hands down my most favorite part of Oregon! I also tried to stop at as many lakes as possible, got eaten alive by all of the bugs, hiked over some cool lava fields, enjoyed a bit of trail magic and even had to deal with a tent malfunction. Thank you REI in Bend for sending me off with a brand new tent!
