Kenny and Katie Archibald secured their place as the inaugural Olympic champions in the women's Madison event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. They achieved this feat by winning 10 out of the race's 12 sprints and lapping the field with 20 laps remaining, amassing a total of 78 points, which surpassed the score of the second-placed Danish team by more than double.
