War on crime: Four alleged Cape Town underworld bosses in court

Stringent security measures were in place at the Western Cape High Court as several of the nation's most prominent alleged underworld figures stood trial separately.

Nafiz Modack and his 14 co-accused are currently on trial, facing a range of charges, including the murder of Anti-Gang detective Charl Kinnear, attempted murder, and extortion.

Meanwhile, Modack's adversaries, Mark Lifman and Jerome Booysen, along with a dozen others, appeared in a different courtroom facing multiple gang-related charges.
