Local AWS Development with LocalStack

Developing and testing on AWS is always a pain for developers who are looking to make sure that they are shipping fast without breaking something. Many development teams mitigate this by using environment mocks, or isolated cloud services which is usually time-consuming and expensive.

LocalStack provides an easy-to-use test/emulation framework for developing Cloud applications. It spins up a testing environment on your local machine that provides the same functionality and APIs as a real cloud environment.

With LocalStack, you can entirely develop on the local machines, where we provide all required "cloud" resources in a local container. LocalStack provisions all required "cloud" resources in the continuous integration server environment where changes are pushed to run the automated tests.

In this meetup session recording,we will take a look at how you can use LocalStack to build on AWS locally without creating and managing cloud services. It would be followed by a hands-on demonstration, real-world use-cases, integrations (like Terraform, CDK, Serverless) and much more!

We will also explore the new features being rolled out in the LocalStack platform and how you as a developer can leverage them. This session was a part of our Meetup community event conducted on March 29, 2022.
