Manipur Updates | JNU Professor Bimol Akoijam, New Congress Member, Talks To Barkha Dutt

Last year, on May 3rd, tensions between the Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur erupted into violence, resulting in the loss of at least 52 lives over three days. In the following year, the toll rose, with at least 226 lives lost to the conflict. Among the deceased, 20 were women and eight were children.
