Our video today is about a brave owner saving his dog from a German Shepherd. German Shepherds, like any other breed, may display aggression towards other dogs for various reasons.

It's important to understand that not all German Shepherds are prone to attacking other dogs, and aggressive behaviour can be influenced by factors such as genetics, upbringing, socialization, and individual temperament. Here are some reasons why a German Shepherd might show aggression towards other dogs:

There is no correlation between the breed of dog and the dog’s ability to properly socialize with other dogs. Lack of Socialization is one of the main reasons for dogs to attack other dogs.

It depends on the amount of exposure the dog has with other dogs.

For instance, if you put your dog in situations where they have to interact with other dogs during key developmental stages in the dog’s growth, they wouldn’t perceive other dogs as a threat. The second reason can be protecting its territory, German Shepherds are naturally protective and territorial dogs.

They may perceive other dogs as intruders in their space, especially if they haven't been properly socialized or if they feel their territory is being threatened. Another reason can be genetics, While genetics alone do not determine behaviour, certain genetic factors may predispose a German Shepherd to be more prone to aggression.

Irresponsible breeding practices or a history of aggression in the dog's lineage can increase the likelihood of aggressive behaviour. Another reason can be lack of training and leadership , German Shepherds are intelligent and energetic dogs that require proper training and leadership from their owners.

Without clear guidance and consistent training, they may exhibit behaviours such as aggression towards other dogs as a result of confusion or frustration.
