Story Summary :-
Op is married to Carl, and they have two kids, a son (6), and a daughter (9). Carl’s sister Regina has a fight with her husband and asks to stay for one week. One week turns into months as she keeps on making excuses as to why she cannot leave. Every time that op brings up her husband, she changes the topic. In addition, she claims that she cannot find a job and lives rent free in op’s house. Op becomes suspicious about why she is really there, so she calls her husband. Her husband does not want to talk to anyone from Regina’s family. He appears upset but he tells op to tell her SIL to sign her divorce papers. Op confronts Regina with this information. Regina is backed into a corner, so she reveals that she cheated on her husband with his brother and they both got kicked out. She asks for op’s help with paying legal fees. She has no one else to turn to and is very ashamed of what she did. Op agrees but it takes a while for her to get the money. She also has to find a way to explain to her husband why she is withdrawing from their savings account. Regina gets impatient and ends up threatening to hurt Op’s kids. Op decides to tell her husband, but he does not believe she would hurt their kids. Regina ends up losing it when confronted and tries to hurt the kids. Op’s husband stops her and calls the cops. Op and her husband tell the family everything and press charges. Regina faces both the divorce and criminal charges and ends up losing both cases. During her divorce case, it is revealed that she threatened her husband not to leave her when he caught her cheating. It is also revealed that she has a tendency to display erratic behavior. She ends up alone and has to leave town because her whole family abandoned her. Op and her husband end up healing as a family and moving on, finally rid of that leech.
