A Slow & Peaceful Saunter in the Village of Ampney Crucis

Описание к видео A Slow & Peaceful Saunter in the Village of Ampney Crucis

So, today we are out and about walking in the Cotswold village and civil parish of Ampney Crucis, which is located in the county of Gloucestershire, England. The village is not too many miles away from the historic Cotswold town of Cirencester, the village is also 100 miles east of the City of London. In 2011 the population stood at nearly 1,900 people in the village.

The parish church, The Church of the Holy Rood is a Grade I listed building and described as an Anglican parish church with Saxon foundations as well as some Norman elements.

The Ampney Brook which is tributary of The River Thames runs through the village and almost parallel to the A417 road. Also, in close proximity to the brook is The Crown at Ampney Brook, which is a 16th Century Inn. At the Inn you can experience great food and drinks all within a warm & friendly atmosphere.

You may well notice a subtle issue with the footage, the lens seemed to have some misting on it, this is the second time this has happened with this new camera, the first time the lens fogged up on the inside, so sadly there was nothing I could do about it, I'm not sure about this time as it might have been rain on the lens. I don't think this issue was enough to warrant scrapping this video walk, see what you think tho...hopefully it will not spoil your quiet enjoyment of the video.

Thanks for walking with me.
