New Bill passed to strengthen Singapore’s cybersecurity landscape

Lawmakers in Singapore on May 7 passed a Bill that will make amendments to the country’s Cybersecurity Act, expanding the oversight of its cyber-security watchdog over any computer system that is critical to the nation and at high risk of cyber attacks. Read more: https://str.sg/rgFb

Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information Janil Puthucheary said that this will mark the first changes to the Act since it came into force in 2018 and seeks to expand its oversight of critical information infrastructure (CII), as threats can often be obscured with increased digitalisation.
