At the World Tour Team CCC we were able to watch mechanic Andy Wollny* building the new 2021 Giant TCR Advanced SL Disc for Matteo Trentin. The new frame is lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic and has been developed as the ultimate all-round bike. With a frame weight (including seat dome) of only 798g Giant has one of the lightest, if not the lightest UCI approved frame in the range. The bike built here for Matteo Trentin weighs fully equipped with power meter, two bottle cages, race number holder, Garmin holder and Shimano SPD-SL pedals only 6.76kg. * Graduate engineer Andy Wollny has worked for Giant since 1996 and has been responsible for the sponsored teams at Giant since 2004 (starting with T-Mobile, Rabobank, Giant -Shimano, Giant Alpecin, Sunweb and now CCC Team). During this time he built up the bikes for many many stars. Since 2017 he has been in charge of the development of the road bikes for Giant.

Beim World Tour Team CCC konnten wir dem Mechaniker Andy Wollny* beim Aufbau des neuen 2021 Giant TCR Advanced SL Disc für Matteo Trentin zusehen. Der neue Rahmen ist leichter, steifer und aerodynamischer und als das ultimative all-rounder bike entwickelt worden. Mit einem Rahmengewicht (inklusive Sitzdom) von nur 798g hat Giant einen der leichtesten, wenn nicht den leichtesten Rahmen mit UCI Zulassung im Programm. Das hier aufgebaute Rad für Matteo Trentin wiegt voll ausgestattet mit Shimano Dura Ace Powermeter, zwei Flaschenhaltern, Startnummernhalterung, Garminhalter und Shimano SPD-SL Pedalen nur 6,76 kg. Ein kleines Gewicht unter dem Flaschenhalter bringt das Rad auf die von der UCI geforderten 6,8kg. Sehe Dir alle Details in diesem Probikebuild an.
*Der Diplom Ingenieur Andy Wollny arbeitet seit 1996 für Giant und ist bei Giant seit 2004 für die gesponserten Teams verantwortlich (Start mit T-Mobile, Rabobank, Giant -Shimano, Giant Alpecin, Sunweb und nun CCC Team). In dieser Zeit baute er für viele Stars, wie zum Beispiel auch Jan Ullrich, die Räder auf. Seit 2017 leitet er für Giant die Entwicklung der Rennräder.
