Boom Lift Cylinder Rebuild | Franna Crane Project | Part 1

Описание к видео Boom Lift Cylinder Rebuild | Franna Crane Project | Part 1

This is Part 1 of our Franna Crane project. We are getting started on repairing our Franna MAC 14 crane and we are beginning with the boom lift cylinders that are in desperate need of a rebuild. This video we get both the cylinders off the crane by removing the pins and hydraulic hoses that are connected. We also show the step-by-step process to disassemble and tear down the cylinders using our hydraulic press. We find out that not only do the cylinder rods and seals need replacing but the inside of the cylinder barrels is also rusted and scratched and we will need to replace those as well! Stay tuned for Part 2 when we get started on manufacturing the new cylinders.
