In this video we rebuild an Echo SRM-225i. This trimmer was ran with straight gas until it died. We replaced the cylinder, and piston to get this trimmer back up and running like new. As you'll see in the video it doesn't take much to replace the piston and cylinder on one of these Echo SRM-225i trimmer. This repair can easily be done at home to save yourself some money. The parts are a bit pricey and that is what makes it not worth paying a dealer to perform the repair. At that point you might as well just buy a new trimmer.
