Line finish on stainless steel with grinding flap wheel - boeck tools on handheld machines

Описание к видео Line finish on stainless steel with grinding flap wheel - boeck tools on handheld machines

Finish grinding is considered the final mechanical surface treatment of metal workpieces. This process step serves to grind out scratch marks and to produce a decorative surface. Certain grinding patterns up to mirror finish can be achieved on the sheet metal surfaces.

In the last processing step, mainly abrasive fleece, abrasive cloth and felt tools are used as endless belts or as wheels. In manual finishing processes, the result and also the reproducibility depend considerably on the operator. For machine finishing, the machine must have the appropriate adjustment possibilities (e.g. stationary sanding belt).

In this video, a line finish is produced on a stainless steel surface with a hand-guided machine. For this purpose, a boeck flap wheel, from the satin wheel tool category, is mounted on the hand-held machine with a quick-release fastener. This is a grinding flap wheel with an abrasive grit of 120. Unlike other satin finishing wheels, which work exclusively or in combination with abrasive fleece, this flap wheel is equipped purely with abrasive grit on a fabric backing.
The line finish is particularly popular in the stainless steel sector. The flap wheel is ideal for this. Especially when used on a hand-held machine, even very accessible components can be grinned flexibly and effectively.

We are boeck. With the latest technology and know-how, we develop and sell deburring tools for automatic and manual metalworking processes. Weather slag removal, pre-grinding, edge rounding, deburring, oxide layer removal or finish grinding, we have the right tool for your process chain.

Economical sheet metal deburring with enthusiasm factor. Whether steel, stainless steel, aluminium, galvanised or foiled sheet metal - we have a wide range of tool types and variants, the latest production technologies and know-how with which to achieve the desired functional and quality specifications on your workpiece (e.g. sheet metal housings, containers, cladding, racks).

Deburring and edge rounding is carried out using flexible abrasive tools with a high degree of adaptability to internal and external contours such as radii, bores and cut-outs. The corresponding deburring discs, deburring rollers, deburring blocks and deburring brushes are used on manual machines as well as grinding and deburring machines. The latter have, for example, planetary head systems or oscillating units for uniform processing of the edges.
