Fly past by Lancaster, Spitfire, Hurricane and Dakota of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight over the Ladybower Reservoir to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Dambuster raids by 617 Squadron led by Wing Commander Guy Gibson.

Rather a grey day, but we saw several flights up and down the Derwent Valley by these old aircraft - plus a Tornado and a couple of Phantoms.

617 Squadron practised their bomb aiming techniques on the Derwent Dam further up this valley. The Ladybower Reservoir was completed in 1943 and not filled until 1945.
