Hidden interests of Iran and Israel

A war-like situation has developed between Iran and Israel - the two major military powers of the Middle East. It appears that both sides are keen on escalating the conflict. First, Israel attacked Iran's consulate building in Syria. Then Iran retaliated by launching a direct attack on Israel from its territory. It looks like both countries want tensions to escalate. The greater the tensions and the greater the threat to Iran's existence, the easier it will be for Iran to justify its nuclear program. On the other hand, the escalation of the conflict will give Israel the opportunity to destroy Iran's nuclear program. So there are hidden interests of both countries behind escalating the conflict at this time. Iran is looking for a reason to continue its nuclear program because it knows what happened to Gaddafi after dismantling Libyan nuclear program. Whereas, the US and Israel cannot allow Iran to become a nuclear country because it is not good for regional security. Also, it will set a dangerous precedent. A nuclear race will begin. So at this time, we are seeing a very complex situation in the Middle East.
