Family reunion dinner on Chinese New Year’s Eve 中国的年夜饭

#SpringFestival, or #ChineseNewYear, is the most important festival for Chinese people. The dinner on Spring Festival Eve is especially crucial, as it reunites all family members. This video shows how Lin Yuanyuan of East China’s Nanjing, Jiangsu province, celebrates Spring Festival Eve with her family, which epitomizes typical Chinese traditions and customs for the biggest festival of the year.

Lin works away from home. On Spring Festival Eve, she traveled home to reunite with her family. Their festival activities start with shopping, cleaning and decorating the home, and making dumplings.
