HEAR IT ROAR! RARE 8020 JOHN DEERE TRACTOR WITH 2-STROKE DIESEL.

Me and my brother were at the 2012 Alexander, NY Steam and Tractor show, and I asked the proud owner of this extremely rare (1 of only 100 produced in 1960-61) John Deere 8020 four-wheel drive tractor to crank it up and put it in the sun where I could take some nice pictures for a book I'm putting together on various tractors from the Tractor Iron Age (1960-1976 as I define it). It has a GM/Detroit Diesel 6-71 2-stroke diesel. 426 cubic inches, but since it's a 2-stroke, it basically puts out power like a 4-stroke engine double its size! (compare it to other engines from its own era, and it's double the horsepower!). Wait until he backs up the knoll, and then BEHOLD the spine-tingling 238 horsepower of a big, howling 2-stroke Detroit Diesel! Sorry for the shaky camera, maybe I got a little scared...
