This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Sometimes it’s a seemingly strange journey that helps save our lives and leads us into becoming our truest self. Jeremy Grimins chronicles such a journey after a energetically engaging performance – in 5 inch stilettos.

Jeremy Grimins is a native of Horseheads, New York, who currently lives in the Corning area. Only a young 28 years old, he is a self-employed hairstylist at an exquisite one chair salon in Posh Boutique on beautiful, historic Market Street in Corning, New York. He enjoys traveling, camping, learning about different types of cultures and meeting new people. Being a former model and performer, he was honored to speak at TEDxChemungRiver to share his story.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
