Minecraft's Adventure Update - Replay and Retrospective

I'm taking a look at the Adventure Update, particularly from the point of view of a Beta Minecraft player. In the community of old MC fans, the Adventure Update is often seen as a bit of a blemish on Minecraft. The Better Than Adventure mod is literally themed around not playing this update... so yeah. A lot of people don't like it.

But how bad is it, really? Well, it may have changed the trajectory of the game in a less-than-ideal way, but I'm quite positive towards a lot of the features added. At the end of the day, I think this version gives an experience more similar to Beta Minecraft than to modern versions.
