If you are painting acrylics, designing your studio is a little easier, than if you are painting with oil. However when it comes to designing the art studio, the two mediums are, not that different.

I have been painting with acrylics for many years, and acrylic colours made a great workflow possible for me. In this video I will show you my studio setup. I will demonstrate and explain my thoughts and ideas regarding organizing an art studio for acrylic painting and give you my best tips for a well-functioning optimized studio for painting.

Organizing an art studio is a personal thing. We are all different. Some do not have much space, and may not even have the opportunity to create a permanent workplace at all, and others may not have the finances to invest in expensive lamps and equipment. Most of all we all have very different personalities, which make our work routines very different.
It is therefore difficult, if not impossible, to give an actual fact sheet for what a studio should look like. Ideally all studios must be different, and in this video I will show you my studio setup hoping to give you inspiration to create your very own workspace optimized for your specific needs and routines.
It is an important room. When you paint, it is in the studio that the magic happens, in this room you have your biggest victories and, unfortunately sometimes, also your biggest defeats.
My studio became the entrance to and an important step towards being able to live the life I wanted ... I wanted to paint, and make a living as a painter.
Few of us have the opportunity to create the perfect studio, compromises must be made ... as they say: "perfect is the enemy of good". Therefore go for developing a good study, which can become the starting point for a good process and many, many good paintings. A setup that you constantly can develop and fine tune towards ... the perfect studio.
