Xie Yao Quan speaks in debate on repealing Section 377A

People's Action Party MP Xie Yao Quan spoke in Parliament on Tuesday (Nov 29) on repealing Section 377A, the law criminalising gay sex in Singapore. He called the debate a "huge milestone for our evolving democracy" and said that the repeal, along with the amendments to the Constitution to protect the definition of marriage from legal challenges, was a "balanced decision".
