In this video, Dr. Md Ibrahime Asif, a Cornea Specialist at Eye7 Eye Hospital in New Delhi, talks about different options to improve the look of your eye if the clear part of your eye, called the cornea, has turned white.

Sometimes, when vision can't be restored in these cases, there are still ways to make the affected eye look more like your healthy eye. Dr. Asif will explain 3 main approaches:

Colored Contact Lenses: These are a convenient option, but they need to be replaced regularly.
Corneal Tattooing: This is a more permanent solution where pigment is added to the cornea to improve its color.
Prosthetic Eye Implant: In some cases, an artificial eye may be the best choice.
To help you understand these procedures better, Dr. Asif will also show two close-up demonstrations of corneal tattooing being performed.

Corneal Tattooing is the practice of staining opacities and scars on the cornea. Corneal tattooing is performed in selected cases for aesthetic or functional purposes. It is used for aesthetic purposes in patients who cannot use cosmetic contact lenses, and for functional purposes to improve visual quality in patients with iris problems and albinism
