Since it was accidentally released into the Mississippi River 30 years ago, a relentless aquatic invader —the Asian Carp—has been heading north. Famous for their insatiable hunger and their Olympic high jumping, Asian Carp are now only 100 kilometers south of Lake Michigan. Narrated by David Suzuki, Carpe Diem explores a complicated fight, involving a wide array of tools from crossbows to electrodes, against an impressive species of fish, which is really just doing what it does best—surviving.
