This marks my one year point in making music (March 12, 2023). I started with no music knowledge and now, I'm here. I've got a spotify, a youtube, a bandcamp, and most importantly: an identity. After a long while of keeping my hobby to myself, I'm finally sharing it with others. Thank you all for listening to my music (even if this song is a cover).

By the way, the reason this song (Sister Friede from Dark Souls III) is so important to me, and why I decided to cover it for my one year anniversary is that it is probably what got me into music. I remember I was taking a walk and I was listening to this song, I thought to myself "There must be so much that goes into making a song like this. I wonder if I could do it..." At that point in time, I didn't know anything about music. Coincidentally, later that day, my best friend showed me a program called FL studio, which is still what I use to make music. A few days of just messing around in FL studio taught me the basics, and I found a midi file of Sister Friede online. I imported the midi into FL and spent probably 2-3 weeks just looking at the notes, patterns, intervals, etc. I learned a lot of music theory just from looking at all the notes. Without that midi, I probably would have gotten discouraged from making music, so I credit the song for both starting my interest in music and developing it.

I am currently making an album, so this will be my last song before that comes out. It should be out by the end of the month, I'm making a lot more than just music for it. I'm also making the album art, video for youtube, etc. The album won't be orchestral like this song, but rather, I'm trying out some experimental ideas. I hope you guys will enjoy it when it comes out!
