STARFIELD VS MASS EFFECT – Who Did Space Sci-Fi Space Better?

The Mass Effect series is the benchmark that most games aspire to reach the level of when it comes to implementing sci-fi settings in space, and though few games are able to get to its level, the recently released Starfield is definitely vying for that throne- which makes sense, given the sheer scale of the experience and the pedigree of the studio behind it.

But between the two, which one comes out on top? Given the significant difference in tone and aesthetic between the two games, as well as how both of them utilize their space setting from an actual gameplay and game design perspective, it’s obviously hard to draw one-to-one comparisons- but both do have legs up over each other in different ways.
