When it comes to the best steakhouses in New York City, there are loads of legendary options. Keens Steakhouse, Peter Luger Steakhouse, Gallaghers Steakhouse, Spark's Steakhouse, Delmonico's Steakhouse, and Wolfgang's Steakhouse all lay claim to the title of best steak in NYC. But what if I told you the best steak in New York was also one of the cheapest?

When we went to Gallaghers, we reviewed the famous Gallaghers $30 lunch special, which included Gallaghers sliced filet mignon, Gallaghers wedge salad, and Gallaghers New York cheesecake. But while St. Anselm does not offer such a high volume of food as Gallaghers, the famous St. Anselm Butcher's Steak is incredible and arguably the best steak in the USA.

St. Anselm's hanger steak, also known as butcher's steak, is just so incredibly soft, melting in your mouth and cooked with the perfect amount of seasoning and garlic butter. St. Anselm's is absolutely a great value steak and a great budget steak, but unlike diner steaks or casual restaurant steaks, it is a steakhouse that specializes in beef, and St. Anselm's $30 butcher steak is as good as any steak you will ever have! Trust me!
