Nick Butler is an English journalist who has been investigating doping allegations in Chinese swimming for years. In early 2021, 23 Chinese swimmers tested positive for a banned substance at a domestic competition in China. While authorities claimed contamination caused the results, international bodies accepted this without thorough review, leading to accusations of a mishandled investigation and calls for further transparency.
