9 Investment Principle To Make You Rich | Build Wealth

1. No Profit is Worth your Capital.
- Your capital is the money you were able to save up, that you won in the lottery or that you inherited
- Usually, the harder you work for it, the more fearful you are of losing it and the easier you get it, the more you are willing to risk it
- Both extremes are bad

Here is an example:
- I have a friend; he would call me every so often about some investment he was making
- He started off day trading, then bitcoin and last time we spoke he was doing forex trading.
- And I finally confronted him, I told him we started out at the same time basically, but that he kept losing all his money, and that he didn’t want to invest my way because it wasn’t sexy and the return was great ( but look how far I came going slow and steady and look where his impatient has gotten him )

Not sure how things turned out for him
- But I texted him today, hope he's doing well
- My investment by the way is the S&P 500

2. Invest First then use what’s left ( not backward)
- I know people who never have enough money to invest
- Because they always want to spend all the money and then try to invest
- I think Uncle Sam figured this out early on and that’s why he takes his money before you get yours ( that way he always gets his )

Here is my advice:
- Pick a percentage like 10% and start investing just that
- When you get paid, take that money out first and invest it
- You probably won't miss it

3. Don’t take a lot of risk when young
- In the money game, everyone says to take risks when you are young
- And the idea is simple if the finish is 65 and you are in your 20s and you lose everything you have
- You can still rebuild several times over

However, if your goal is to retire young
- The more risk you take, the worse off you’ll be
- Better to go slow and steady
- And if you want to use your youth, use it to make more money

4. Invest in what you understand only
- I had several different investments as I grew my knowledge of investment early on
- Don’t make investments you don’t understand, because you won't be able to assess them and make changes
- And don’t invest just because someone on YouTube or in a book recommended it

Try to fully comprehend it first

5. Live frugally, less is more
- You want to lower your overhead
- Overhead is the cost to run a business
- In this example, I mean your cost to live a life

Notice this:
- If you collect 100 men from walking downtown square in New York
- You’ll probably find out this
- Each man makes a different amount of money, and has different cost of living but most likely 80-97% of them are broke or not yet financially free

The point is:
- You can live on less
- And making more money won't make you rich
- If you spend all that money and live some extravagant life


6. Stay debt-free forever

7. Money is Time and time is Energy ( each time you spend you spend energy )

8. Be greedy when people are scared and scared when people are greedy

9. Priotize Self Stability not Profits ( meaning get your stuff in order first and then worry about more profit, too many people postpone getting things right first, and keep taking risks and then aren’t able to fix things )
