Why Fast Breathing Does NOT Increase Oxygen

Описание к видео Why Fast Breathing Does NOT Increase Oxygen

Most people already have a “full tank” of oxygen, so faster breathing doesn’t mean more oxygen. In fact, faster breathing can deplete CO2.

As explained by the Bohr effect, a proper balance of CO2 is required to help break the O2 - hemoglobin bond, allowing your body to access its circulating oxygen. Like most things health-related, balance is the key, and just like most of us need to eat less sugar and stress less, most of us need to slow (not speed) up our breathing for optimal health.
