Turning an Epiphone Tony Iommi SG into a JayDee "Old Boy" guitar (part 2) SOUND DEMO 16,11,2023

This is part of a series of videos documenting my progress repairing and modifying this Epiphone Tony Iommi Signature SG and converting it into as close as I can get to a copy of a JayDee "Old Boy" guitar, one of Tony Iommi's iconic guitars !

In this particular video, I finally unveil the finished guitar after years of ignoring this project... till now!
This video includes a basic sound demo so that you guys can hear what this beauty sounds like before I do some further tweaking of a few elements and come back with a future video detailing the off-screen build process I went through in more detail.

THE SOUND DEMO STARTS AT 6:10

The signal chain during this sound demo is as follows:
- Custom modified Epiphone "Old Boy" guitar.
- Custom germanium treble booster
- Laney GH00L 100W tube amp head
- Bugera PS1 Power Soak attenuator
- Custom 2x12 cab fitted with Celection G12M Greenbacks
- mic'd with a Shure SM57 and an Audio Technica AT2020
- the microphone signals ran through my Behringer U-PHORIA UMC404HD audio interface before being edited in my DAW of choice, Reaper, where I panned the mics separately hard left/right and I added a touch of reverb to one side...
