Sky News host James Morrow says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's “personal views” on condemning the ‘From the River to the Sea’ chant have been “pretty sensible”.

Mr Morrow said the prime minister is “not a part of the whole from the river to the sea group”.

The Sky News host's comments come after Labor senators backed a motion in the senate that condemned a pro-Palestine chant.

The condemnation came after a Labor senator repeated the phrase while also accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gaza.

“Albanese’s personal views on this I think are pretty sensible ... he’s not part of the whole from the river to the sea group,” Mr Morrow said.
