Candid, Artistic and Unposed Joshua Tree Intimate Elopement Wedding Film

Brenna is a painter and Brian a graphic designer/wine enthusiast — their inquiry to me felt like a breath of fresh air

They were looking for a candid, nostalgic and not overly posed wedding film that focused on real moments and nature to capture their intimate and intentional wedding day in Joshua Tree. Their film shares their heart behind their day and location choice and it’s just really special and goes perfectly with their Joshua Tree Wedding

Their day was truly why I love intimate weddings so much. There’s no fluff, everything holds meaning all the way down to the way they spent their time. Taking breaks away from the camera throughout the day to take it all in outside of it all and be fully present.

Brenna and Brian are good people and one of my favorite things they mentioned about their film is that it gives them “instant nostalgia” — I think it’s because it is so honest to the day and who they are.

I took a bit of a risk at the very beginning with just raw super 8mm footage. But my hope for it was to make it feel like you just found your grandparents old vintage film footage and hit play on the projector. To just usher you into the nostalgia and candid moments straight away and I love how seamlessly it transitions into their first dance at blue hour, beneath the moon
