At Sarawak River waterfront, a beautiful walkway was built along the stretch facing the city of Kuching, capital of Sarawak, East Malaysia. Tourists and locals use this to enjoy the river city sceneries, beside enjoying the street foods on offer. It is not surprising to find street musicians taking this opportunity to showcase their talents; some for the fun of it, beside earning few Ringgits here and there. In this, I capture a native guy, dressed in his native "(Indigenous tribes of Borneo are Iban, Kelabit, Kayan, Kenyah, Penan, Melanau and many more)", costume playing a native guitar like string instrument. Sape' is a hundred percent local made, local origin and played by native during celebration. Some modern groups of local musicians even adopted Sape' in place of guitar. Of course, it is equipped with electronic amplifier. The waterfront is the city main attraction. You can also see the White Rajah's Istana now the official residence of Sarawak Governor. The old, preserved Margaretta Fort is located beside the Istana. Other tourist attraction is river boat cruise and Borneo antinque shops along old China Town.
