Pop-up Exploding Map / Turkish Map Derivatives and Variations (Pop' Origami 4)

A few pop-up experiments from last year that stem from the base of the "Turkish map / exploding map" (= e.g. my recent Castlevania map). If you expand and multiply that base (it’s more a derivative than a variation), you get typical hexagonal origami segments (pop’origami again). A very interesting (curling?) effect with a single sheet of paper, and the possibility of an easy lateral deployment. But it’s a lot of folds and a lot of paper, haha! Nevertheless I’m unsurprisingly very attracted to these pop' origami results as there are always fewer pieces and glue points than in a traditional pop-up.

Quelques expérimentations pop-up de l’an dernier, qui partent de la base de la « carte turque » ou « carte explosive » (= ma carte Castlevania récente, par exemple). Une fois cette base démultipliée et étendue (c’est plus un dérivé qu’une variation), on obtient le segment hexagonal typique de l’origami contemporaine (pop’origami encore). En somme, un effet très intéressant (de recroquevillé ?) avec une seule feuille de papier, et la possibilité d’un déploiement latéral simplissime. Mais c’est beaucoup de plis et beaucoup de papier, haha! Toutefois, je suis, sans surprise, vraiment attiré par ces résultats de pop’origami, car il y a toujours moins de pièces et de points de colle que dans un pop-up habituel.
