Composer's Comments:

"This is a violent electronic song about the duality of the relationship between Alice and Celia. I made use of a comparison between standard 0 cent tuning sections and -50 cent tuning sections in order to represent the slight disparity between them. Down the middle, however, the original distance between them fades and we see that they merge to form one complete image.

The overall atmosphere of the song is pretty dark. However, that is not to say that there aren’t vivid moments to a relationship like this. When one is fighting their darker alter ego, one will eventually come to realise it is actually the rejection of one’s own memories; parts of oneself that one refuses to accept. The crash of waves of memory and personality against each other erupts in a vibrant spectrum of colours in this dark purple curtain of uncertainty.

Memories are a fluid stream; a river of consciousness, flowing in a dark space filled with little meaning. Meaning arises when memories crystallise into personalities. Personalities crystallise into characters. Different sides of ourselves that we show to different people. Different sides of ourselves that others understand of us. The Alice in my mind is not the same Alice in your’s.

One may never come to terms with such a realisation, but it is a truth that will stick with you. In the infinite kaleidoscope of many Alices and Celias, who truly defines you?"
