Grant Chapman from CNA Fabrication is at it again with his latest project- a 1967 Jeepster Commando. Here, Grant discusses the differences in wheeling a full-size truck versus a Jeep and whether he prefers the NV4500 manual transmission in his Chevy or the 4L40E automatic in his Jeepster. He also details the build process, from fabricating his own frame rails to the link suspension, steering, and brakes. The drivetrain is junkyard parts consisting of a 5.3L engine, the previously mentioned 4L80E, an NP241 transfer case, and Super Duty axles. This kept the overall project cost down and allowed room in the budget for items such as the 40-inch Nitto Trail Grapplers and Battleborn Sierra beadlock wheels.
