China's Ma Long is the first male player in the world to have won every singles title in table tennis. His records made him to be considered the greatest table tennis player of all-time by many experts. At the 2012 London Olympic Games, Ma Long won his first Olympic Gold medal in the team event with China. He repeated this Gold medal four years later, at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, winning the final against Japan. Moreover, he gained his first Olympic Gold in the singles event at Rio 2016, beating fellow country man Zhang Jike in the men's gold medal match.
