Super Mario Galaxy DS

2007 This project was born few months before the launch of "Super Mario Galaxy" and became into my final project in my Design Studies in the Design School from Valencia.

It consisted in the creation of a viral video, that means, obtain at least half a million views and diffusion in a short space of time.

Thanks to the compilation of all the material published by the media to date, I faithfully reproduced all the content of the game from scratch, creating new levels and elements to develop the fictitious idea of playing the same game in a portable device.

To create this I worked on the "LowPoly" version of the game, adapting the new generation game in to a system with big limitations.

The video became viral and my final project had a B+.

Demonstrating my knowledge in creating all the material for this video, was one of the keys to getting my first job in video game industry.

2007, a pocos meses del lanzamiento de "Super Mario Galaxy" nació este proyecto que sirvió como proyecto final de carrera en mis estudios de diseño en al Escuela Superior de Diseño de Valencia.

Consistía en la creación de un video con objetivo viral, es decir, conseguir al menos medio millón de reproducciones y difusión en un breve espacio de tiempo.

A través de la recopilación de todo el material publicado por la prensa hasta la fecha, reproduje de forma fiel todo el contenido del juego, creando nuevas fases y elementos para desarollar la idea ficticia que consistía en la posibilidad de jugar al mismo juego en una consola portatil.

Para ello trabajé en la versión "LowPoly" del juego, adaptando a un sistema con grandes limitaciones un juego de nueva generación.

El video se hizo viral y el proyecto final de carrera fue superado de forma sobresaliente.

Demostrar mis conocimientos a la hora de crear todo el material del video, fue una de las claves para conseguir mi primer puesto de trabajo dentro de la industria del videojuego.
