In Camera Video Noise Reduction - R5C Tip 29

Noise is a fact of life. It's inherent in all physical systems, and as such we have to either live with it or do some kind of processing to reduce it. Canon's R5C supports in camera video noise reduction, and as you'd expect from a cinema camera it's more configurable and more complicated than it is on Canon's consumer targeted camera.

So lets take a look at the in camera noise reduction found on the R5C. What it does, how it works, and where you need to go to find it. And while I don't have quantitative tests on how it performs, we'll look at some qualitative examples at ISO 51,200 just to get an idea of what's going on.
