In this episode of Tarikh, Divyanshi Sumrav talks about a crime case. In 1997, a murder case in Delhi’s Tughlakabad area went cold after the suspects, Tillu and Ramu, disappeared. The case was reopened in 2021, a breakthrough came when the police learned that Ramu had a nephew, Shivkar. Posing as insurance agents, the police extracted information from Shivkar, leading them to trace a phone number to Lucknow. There, they discovered that Ramu, now known as Ashok Yadav, was working as a rickshaw driver. After a staged insurance claim scenario, Ashok confessed to being Ramu and admitted to the murder, which occurred over a property dispute during a drinking session. While Ramu was apprehended, Tillu, who had become a religious mendicant named Ramdas, remained at large. The police continued their search, and caught him by organizing a bhandara.
