Columbia University Evicts Students Demanding Divestment Of Investments In Companies 'Aiding Israel'

On Tuesday night, New York police initiated a forceful eviction of students from a building that the students had taken over in the Columbia University campus. Approximately 300 students were arrested in the crackdown, after the University sought police intervention to get the Hamilton Hall building vacated.
Protests first erupted on the campus in mid-April over the Gaza war. The demonstrations have also spread to other universities across the US, as well as in Canada and France. Hundreds of students and some faculty members have been arrested over the last two weeks on campuses across America. Divestment Of Investments In Companies 'aiding Israel'
