King World was a production company and syndicator of television programming in the United States independently founded in 1964 by Charles King until acquired by CBS in 1999, with its eventual 2007 incorporation into CBS Television Distribution (now CBS Media Ventures). They were headquartered in New York City, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. When Charles King died in 1972, the company was taken over by King's children: Roger M. King (1944-2007), Michael (1948-2015), Robert (1940-2020), Diana (1949-2019), Richard (1941-2020), and Karen.
