Value of some SA qualifications

We are expanding our examination of higher education and the true worth of university degrees. Some observers argue that universities are producing more graduates than the job market can accommodate, potentially diminishing the value of certain degrees due to their widespread availability.
This phenomenon is observed in fields such as law and is gradually encroaching upon MBA programmes. Furthermore, while the Higher Education Department encourages individuals to pursue PhDs, there is a notable proportion of postgraduates who struggle to secure employment despite their qualifications.
Is South Africa encountering a situation akin to the oversupply of PhD holders seen in many developed economies?
