This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Brian Kessler, founder and president of Maui Toys, discusses how inventing toys has lead to his life of innovation through creation.


Brian Kessler, founder and president of Maui Toys, is a prolific inventor who applied for his first patent in high school and has designed and developed more than 2,600 toys, sporting goods and consumer products.
As an inventor, marketer and creator of intellectual property, Brian is also a successful serial entrepreneur. He owns and operates six companies engaged in power generation, transportation, entertainment, product design and development. Brian founded Maui Toys in 1988 and sold it to Jakks Pacific, the third-largest toy company in the world in 2012.
